Description
Archibalds BBQ was established in 1962 by grandparents George and Betty Archibald. Now being run by the third generation-the grand kids. The meat and sauce is still the same, cooked on hickory wood.
The original is still up and going where coach Bear Bryant used to come in, sit at the counter in the corner, eat a plate of Bar-b-que and have long conversations with granddaddy Archibald.
Won taste of the town in Tuscaloosa, Al. Was posted in Southern Living Magazine (They did a section on Archibald's BBQ). Also was posted in the New York Times as one of the best. Rated #2 in the nation by Goodmorning America. Was live on ESPN's Taste of the Town and many more accomplishments.
We have some great catfish, hot wings like you've never tasted, half & whole chickens cooked on hickory, a big variety of home cooked vegetables. Not cooked out the can. From collard greens, black eyed peas, to fried green tomatoes and okra. If you haven't had this Bar-b-que, then your missing out on some of the best.
